The decision to choose between On-Premise or Cloud-based depends on your business needs and goals in the short term and long term.

On-Premise: Requires a large up-front investment for licenses and software and also requires a strong IT infrastructure with the required servers and security measures. Beneficial for laboratories that have the requisite IT team to support the system, businesses that like full control over their own data and security, or laboratories in areas with poor internet access.

Cloud-based: Involves a monthly subscription fee, but the upfront investment is substantially lower. All of the security and accessibility responsibility falls on Async, reducing the need for a strong IT infrastructure.  We follow very strict security guidelines to ensure you have that peace of mind when it comes to your system and your data. Cloud servers are very easy to scale up compared to local servers, making it easy for the business to continue expanding.  The main downside of a cloud-based solution is that it requires that you have a good and stable internet connection, and the monthly cost will be ongoing for the life of the system.
